Crafting Meaningful KPIs for Business Success: A Case Study

July 9, 2024

Establishing meaningful and aligned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with business objectives is essential in marketing and campaign management. In this blog post, we'll discuss the importance of developing these robust KPIs and use a real-life example of our campaign with the Texas General Land Office.

The Opportunity: Disaster Preparedness Campaign

The GLO approached us with a crucial mission: to promote disaster preparedness among Texans. With the aim of keeping Texans and their properties safe and reducing their reliance on government disaster assistance, the campaign aimed to create engaging content to encourage proactive planning against severe weather and flooding.

Crafting the Process: Strategy and Execution

Working closely with GLO staff and our partners, we organized a production shoot to create high-quality video content for the video campaign. Recognizing the versatility of content, we maximized the shoot to encompass various messages, including Pet Preparedness, Electrical Outlet Focus, Measuring Damage, Medication Preparedness, and Important Document-Dry Bag Preparedness. By maximizing the use of content by developing multiple campaign messages with this one video shoot, it saves time and money.

Measuring Impact: Assessing Reach and Engagement

At the heart of every campaign lies its results. We delivered broadcast-quality videos that raised awareness about natural disasters and the importance of flood insurance and provided actionable steps for individuals and families to be better prepared. Our results spoke volumes:

Reach: Our messages reached over 118 million individuals across various platforms, including social media and streaming services.

Engagement: With more than 32 million views on social media and 25 million impressions on streaming platforms, our content resonated deeply with the audience.

Action: The campaign propelled tangible action, evidenced by significant engagement metrics and interactions from the community.
